News
- The schedule for after school clubs is now available. Registration is due by Friday Sept 12.
- Directory forms (español) for the school directory that the PTA provides that came home in the backpacks are due NOW. Please fill them out and return as soon as possible.
- The August newsletter is now available. Copies will be at the Open House, but it looks much better in color. Click the link on the left to see what's going on at Woodlin.
- New to Woodlin? We'd like to extend a special welcome to you! We have a Helpful Hints guide that contains useful information for you.
Information
- Join the PTA by filling out the membership form (español). 100% of your membership fee goes directly to helping our teachers and children with valuable programs throughout the whole year.
- Join the Woodlin PTA listserve to keep updated on important announcements and other information.
- Order your school spirit items, including t-shirts, bumper stickers, car magnets and cookbooks.
We are looking for volunteers for the following jobs.

- Junior Great Book Volunteers Needed. We are looking for parents to be trained to help kids in Woodlin classrooms with their reading and critical thinking. Once trained, parents can lead book discussion groups with advanced readers in grades 3-5 – over 50% of the Woodlin students in those grades -- using the Jr. Great Books materials (and possibly 2nd grade). - Health and Safety Committee Chair. Oversees all activities related to health, safety, and the outdoors, including the work of the lead volunteers. In addition to these duties, is required to attend all monthly PTA Board meetings, and serves as an advisor on all issues discussed at these meetings. Does not require work during school hours.
- Montgomery County Council of PTA (MCCPTA) Representative. Serve as Woodlin PTA’s representative for the work of the Montgomery County Council of PTA. Attend monthly MCCPTA delegate meetings and report back to the Board and/or the membership. Attendance at monthly PTA Board meetings is required. Does not require work during school hours.
- PTA Childcare. Recruit individuals (usually teenagers), provide supervision, and arrange for payment for childcare at monthly PTA meetings. Does not require work during school hours, but must be able to attend monthly PTA meetings.
