Spring Book Fair – Thursday, April 07, 2016 & Friday, April 08, 2016

The Spring Scholastic Book Fair returns to Woodlin right after spring break with a wonderful selection of engaging and affordable books for every reading level. This year look for book recommendations from Woodlin’s own teachers and students throughout the fair. Feed the kids while you shop opening night of the fair, April 7, with FREE PIZZA served at 5:45pm and 6:30pm. Read more

Woodlin v. Sligo Volleyball Game

The volleyball game had to be canceled because of the snow, but now it has a new date! When: Friday, March 11th Time: Doors open at 5pm, game starts at 5:30pm Where: Sligo Middle School gym (1401 Dennis Avenue) – gym entrance and parking lot are on the left side of the school when you are looking at the school Cost: $3/person (age 5 and up) at the door; pizza, snacks and drinks will be available for purchase Watch and cheer as your Woodlin Wizard staff and teachers take on the Sligo Stallions! Nutrition Seminar: How to Plan a Healthy School Lunch for $2.50 or Less

Ever struggle with what to pack your child for lunch? Do you find its hard to pack healthy foods that your child will actually eat at school? Not sure if you can match the price of MCPS supplied lunch? If so, then come out from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm on Saturday, February 6th to Woodlin’s first FREE nutrition seminar entitled “How to Plan a Healthy School Lunch for $2.50 or Less.” Amy Burkholder, a nutritionist and mom of a young child, is working on preparing a seminar that answers all your questions. Dear Woodlin Families, This past fall, the PTA has partnered with S.M.I.L.E. to help manage our PTA After-School Clubs, which have grown in popularity through the years. We now have more than 300 club spots available to Woodlin students each session, and offer a variety of experiences throughout the year. Read more
