New School Reminders from Woodlin Staff
CAR RIDER LOOP: A reminder to car-riders to please slow down when exiting the Woodlin parking lot and STOP before turning RIGHT ON LUZERNE TO EXIT, passing Warren St. and looping around to Glen Ross Rd. to 2nd Ave. We have walkers coming from Warren Street ,and no crossing guard has been posted yet. Please consider Luzerne a one-way street during pick-up and drop-off hours.
LOST and FOUND: Please label water bottles, coats, and winter gear with your child’s name and grade/teacher. New Woodlin is already collecting a sizeable lost and found, and staff are eager to help reunite items with their owners!
SHINY AND NEW: Please help us keep New Woodlin in mint condition for as long as possible by reminding your student to be respectful of school property.

Dash Thank You
Thank you for a fantastic Dash of the Runaway Wizards on October 20, 2023! Together, we’ve raised over $37K for the Woodlin PTA, with donations remaining open until November 4th.
This tremendous show of community support allows us to host assemblies and artist residencies, provide teacher and grade-level funds for field trips and enrichment, and hold fun community-building events like the upcoming Outdoor Family Dance on Saturday, November 4th. We’re working on plans to revive International Day, and for many events in the spring like our Earth Day celebration, STEM Day, the Geography Bee, and the big community Spring Fair. All of your contributions large and small make these things possible.
Thank you
*To everyone who donated
*To everyone who asked family, friends, and neighbors to donate
*To our generous corporate sponsors: Kids After Hours, Oak Contracting, Innovative Kitchen and Bath, Sweet Hairafter, Snider’s SuperFoods, Modern Dentistry, Fenwick Beer & Wine, Glimmer Images, RDCA-Woodlin CDC, Saul Architects, The Silver Spring Orthodontist, and Family Pet Veterinary Clinic
*To the Dash committee who made this day happen: Ali Harms Miller, Emily Adams, Angie Wilcox, and Jacqueline Kistler
*To the fundraising team who solicited corporate sponsorships: Christine Lao-Scott, Angie Lai and Ali Harms Miller
*To volunteers who came to help on the day of the Dash, bestowing bananas, hydrating the horde, and corralling crowds
*To everyone who came to cheer
*To the Woodlin administration and educators who support the Dash and make it possible, especially faculty Dash liaison Ms. Costa
*To DJ Mr. Danny and PTA Events Chair Mikey Franklin for keeping the music flowing and feet pounding
*And lastly, a huge thanks goes to Ali Harms Miller who heroically coordinated the many parts of this wonderful event.
