The PTA is looking for parents to host a playdate for incoming kindergarteners or older grades at local parks over the summer. These are low key affairs. The PTA would provide the coordinators with blank name tags and perhaps popsicles. Take the supplies to the park, chat with new parents, let kids meet each other. A PTA board member or two will try to make it to each playdate to answer questions. We can post information on the listserv with dates and times, as well as send the information to neighborhood listservs. We’d love to sponsor a handful of dates at different parks.
