After School Clubs- Fall

  • Registration for Fall Clubs is Open! 
    • Fall after school clubs begin the week of Tuesday, October 7.
    • Activities include soccer, dance, STEAM, yoga, Spanish, Karate, pottery and running! For more information and to register: 2025 Fall Clubs Information. (Información de los clubes de otoño de 2025)
    • NO LATE BUSES will be offered this year, but all students have access to FREE extended care at KAH until 6 pm on their club days. If you plan to use this free extended aftercare, you MUST have a KAH account which you can create here.
  • Running Clubs at Woodlin this Fall
    • Register here for Boys Gotta Run® at Woodlin (grades 3-5); 8 weeks, Wednesdays, 7:45–8:45 am, starting Wednesday, September 10. Questions? Contact Coach Kevin  kevinkennedy13@me.com
    • Register here for Girls on the Run at Woodlin (grades 3-5); Wednesdays & Fridays, 3:30-5 pm, starting October 1; final 5K race on November 23. Questions? Contact Coach Valeria ronitvaleria@gmail.com
  • Call for Classroom Parents! 
    • Volunteers are needed to help organize PTA-funded class celebrations (Harvest party on October 31, Valentine’s party on February 13), coordinating classroom teacher appreciation gifts, compiling a class basket for our annual Spring auction, and serving as a point of contact and support for your child’s teacher. This is a great way to get involved and get a glimpse of Woodlin life!

    • Interested in doing more? Discover opportunities to get involved and indicate interest with our brief PTA Back to School Survey. Our goal is to foster participation and be as inclusive as possible, so we welcome your input and encourage you to contribute in whatever capacity works best for you and your family.
  • Save the Date: MOVIE NIGHT, Saturday September 20th 
    • We’ll gather under the stars on our beautiful Woodlin Hill to watch Lilo & Stitch (2025 version). Food trucks will be on site!
    • This event is happening rain or shine. If it rains, we’ll just move inside. This event is free of charge, though donations to the PTA to offset the cost are always welcome. Please note that this is not a dropoff event; children must be accompanied by an adult. See you there!
  • PTA Meetings! ICYMI, here are the meeting slides from our September meeting which include information about PTA events and initiatives for the year, our budget, how to join and volunteer, and more!
    • Please mark your calendars for our first in-person PTA meeting of the year on October 7 at 6:30 pm at Woodlin. Pizza and childcare provided!
  • Join the PTA!
    • All Woodlin families are welcome at all PTA events, programming, and activities regardless of membership in the PTA. However, joining the PTA is a great way to show your support and help fund our programs. Annual membership dues are at a suggested amount of $20 per family or $12 per individual (teacher, community member, grandparent), but we welcome you to pay what you can, with a minimum of $5 to cover our state and local fees.

  • MCPS BOUNDARY STUDY and ACADEMIC PROGRAMS Update
    • The next round of Boundary Study options will be released at online meetings on October 6th. Click here for specific times and formats.
    • Woodlin PTA will condense updated information for our community and send out a synopsis specific to our school soon thereafter.
