For further information and details concerning this meeting; refer to the Woodlin Elementary School Project Web Page LINK below: \n\n\nhttps://www.montgomeryschoolsmd.org/departments/facilities/construction/project/woodlines.aspx \nMontgomery County Public Schools (MCPS) is scheduled to begin the Schematic Design Phase for an approved capital project in your neighborhood. \nThis notice is to inform you of the Schematic Design meetings scheduled for the approved new school facility project at Woodlin Elementary School.  MCPS extends an invitation to you to participate in this process. Everyone in attendance will have the opportunity to hear about the study process for the proposed project. \nThe purpose of these meetings is to develop a preliminary design for the school project. This is an evolving process whereby input from the previous meeting is incorporated into the ongoing proposed design. These meetings are to determine spatial relationships within the school’s interior\, the pedestrian and traffic flow of the site\, and how the project will impact the community at large. \nParticipants will include representatives of the school\, PTA\, neighbors\, government agencies\, the design architects\, and staff from MCPS Division of Construction. \nThe dates and times for the meetings are shown below. DESCRIPTION:It’s National Walk to School day on Wednesday October 2\, 2019. Let’s join schools in all 50 states and walk to school! \n\nMCPD community officer crossing guards will be at 16th St and 2nd Ave AND Georgia Ave and Seminary Rd.\nGet a group of neighbors and friends from your bus stop\, building or neighborhood and make a walking plan.\nWear your Woodlin gear and Woodlin colors.\nGet together earlier and make posters. It’s a walking party!\nArrive at school by 8:45am! Bring an extra snack/water for your child in case they get hungry from the walk.\nNational info: http://www.walkbiketoschool.org.\n\nWe would love volunteers to help organize neighbors to walk to school. If you’re interested\, contact Amri Brown and Brett Forshey for info. Also\, even if you can’t walk the whole way from your home to Woodlin\, maybe park a few blocks away and walk in with your child. We will have stickers to pass out for everyone who comes in the doors\, but if you can walk to school on October 2!
