New Trees for Woodlin!

Many thanks to Lisa Gerhardt for leading an effort to get TEN new trees for the Woodlin campus! She and the North Woodside/Montgomery Hills Civic Association are working with Casey Trees, a non-profit organization that works “to restore, enhance and protect the tree canopy of the nation’s capital.”

Together the PTA, Casey Trees, and members of the neighborhood worked with Principal Moua and MCPS to identify 10 spots within the school campus that will benefit from new trees, none of which will obstruct the play area.  Third grade classes will take an active part in both planting and watering of the trees. The official Tree Planting date is set for Wednesday, November 12.
