PTA Meeting: Black History Month

WHAT: Woodlin PTA Black History Month Program “Celebrating Unity in the Community”
WHEN: Tuesday, February 6, 2018 at 6:30-8pm
WHERE: Woodlin Elementary All Purpose Room/Cafeteria.
Hands on Drums DC is back (by popular demand) and the Drum Master will introduce the students and families to the tradition of the Drum Circle in the African diaspora, how it brings the community together, and how we can work to bring peace and harmony through music. We will have drums available, and as we talk about African drumming traditions and how those traditions remain an important part of the African American experience.

Dinner will be served at 6:30pm with the Program to follow. This is a great family event for adults and children of all ages! We hope to see you all there!
